Pink Scooty Scheme
The Pink Scooty Scheme is a women’s empowerment and mobility program launched by the Government of Sindh to provide free or subsidized pink electric scooters (EV scooties) to eligible female residents of Sindh. It complements other women‑focused transport initiatives like the Pink Bus Service and reflects a broader effort to improve independent, safe, and eco‑friendly travel for women.
The scheme is aligned with the leadership and vision of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), emphasizing women’s participation in education, work, and community life.
The Pink Scooty Scheme aims to:
- Empower women by reducing transport barriers
- Support female students and working professionals
- Improve access to education, jobs, and business opportunities
- Promote safe and independent mobility
- Encourage use of eco‑friendly electric vehicles
- Complement existing transport services like PBS and Pink Buses
Eligibility Criteria (Typical Requirements)
To qualify for the Pink Scooty Scheme, applicants generally must:
- Be permanent residents of Sindh
- Be female (students, working women, or entrepreneurs)
- Hold a valid motorcycle or car driving license
